Scientific Name: Cantharellus cibarius
English Name: Chantarelle
Swedish Name: KantarellChantarelle is an edible fungus that is very distinguished, and so is not easily confused with poisonous fungi. Its colour ranges from yellow to yellowish orange. The cap is often funnel-shaped, and the ridges are lined in a way that’s reminiscent of gills. It is rarely eaten by worms and insects.
It can be found in parts of Europe. In Sweden, it is a common fungus. However, it is Red-Listed in some other countries, such as Poland and Austria.
